Public courts: tennis, pickleball, volleyball & bocce
Public sport courts around Tacoma, Pierce County and the peninsula — tennis, pickleball, sand volleyball and bocce. Outdoor park courts are free and first-come, first-served; the indoor ones cost a few dollars to drop in. Bocce: Doris Heritage Park in Gig Harbor has three courts, free and open dawn to dusk. Pétanque we still cannot find anywhere public in the county — the nearest organised play is the Seattle Pétanque Club, about an hour north. Know a court we have wrong or missing? Tell us — several entries here were fixed that way.
